Taking the Lid Off Alidya
Alidya is a revolutionary mesotherapy injection that treats and prevents the production of cellulite that is predominantly seen in women. The active agents in the Alidya injection stimulate the essential mechanisms in the tissue responsible for cellulite i.e. poor microcirculation, toxins and damage to the tissue. It works by specifically regenerating a client’s adipose tissue, improving the lymphatic drainage of tissues and improving blood circulation, therefore making the skin smooth and plump.

How is the treatment carried out?

It is a minimally invasive non-surgical treatment administered via painless intra-dermal microinjections. A topical anaesthetic cream is applied is applied to the treatment area for a painless procedure. The micro injections are then injected into the derma layer or subcutaneous tissue at a depth of 4-5mm. The treatment can take between 20-30 minutes and an average of 4-12 sessions are needed. The number of treatments will vary depending on the degree of cellulite, the area of the treatment and age. It is recommended that the treatment be topped up on a yearly basis.

The Benefits

The main benefits to the Alidya injection are as follows: • Drainage of fluid retention in the tissues • Volume and fat loss in localised areas • No more cellulite!

Who can get the treatment?

Anyone who has cellulite from fluid retention will be the perfect candidate for the Alidya treatment.

Why do we get cellulite?

Let’s first address what even is cellulite? It occurs when skin overlaying certain areas of high fat density is pulled inwards towards the deeper tissues by connective tissue bands which creates an uneven surface. The most common areas of cellulite are • Hips • Thighs • Abdomen • Buttocks • Breasts The exact cause of cellulite is unknown. However, it appears to be due to the build-up of fat and its interaction with the collagen fibres between the muscles and skin. Hormones can also play a huge part in the appearance of cellulite. Oestrogen, insulin, noradrenaline, thyroid hormones, and prolactin are part of the cellulite production process. There’s also genetics, diet, lifestyle and pregnancy to consider when looking at the appearance of cellulite.

Any side effects to the treatment?

The only known side effects to Alidya is the effect from the injection method and not from the actual product itself. There is a chance of bruising and haematomas, but this will recover over time by itself.
